The Made in Japan Limited Active Modern series is a new modern style option developed for players who prefer high-end guitars and basses and seek a balance between playability and sound quality.
Based on the iconic single-coil sound that has shaped the history of music for Fender, this guitar features the newly developed active "SILENCOIL System." It reduces hum noise without compromising the original tone of the single-coil pickup, achieving a high level of comfort, quietness, and a wide range of sound variations required in modern playing environments.
The neck features a newly designed heel cut, a finish that ensures smooth playability, and a compound radius fingerboard. It provides comfortable playability at all positions, from chord playing in the lower positions to technical lead playing in the higher positions.
The newly developed "SILENCOIL System" maintains the delicate nuances and clear attack inherent in single-coil pickups, while sending a signal from the pickup's ground side to cancel out only the hum noise picked up by the independent coil, resulting in a clear and three-dimensional sound. Furthermore, because the system design is independent of the type of pickup, the effects of the "SILENCOIL System" can be maintained even if the pickups are replaced in the future
Furthermore, it features a "Turbo Tone" clean boost function that simulates the effect of increasing the number of windings on a single-coil pickup. This allows you to instantly switch from the usual delicate and clear tone to a thick and powerful sound, accommodating a wide range of musical styles from clean to crunch to drive.

This is a Japan-exclusive Modern Series designed to combine high playability with superior sound quality. It inherits the traditional Fender sound while incorporating the functionality demanded by modern players.
Selected alder body with binding
The body is crafted from carefully selected alder wood and features binding that enhances its luxurious feel. Combined with a 4-ply tortoiseshell pickguard, it achieves a balance between a classic look and a modern design. The well-balanced sound characteristic of alder is also a major draw.
Newly designed heel cut
A newly designed heel cut has been adopted at the neck joint. This improves access to the higher positions, enabling stress-free playability for chord work in the high register and technical lead playing.
Smooth playability
Featuring a custom neck finish and compound radius fingerboard, this guitar offers a smooth feel and just the right amount of grip, enabling effortless position changes. It comfortably accommodates a wide range of playing styles, from chord playing in the lower positions to bending and shredding in the higher positions.
SILENCOIL System
The newly developed noiseless circuit board and independent coil mounted below the pickup maintain the original single-coil sound while canceling out hum noise, resulting in a clear and three-dimensional sound. Furthermore, its design allows for use when replacing pickups, accommodating future customizations. (When replacing pickups, system adjustment via the trim in the battery box may be necessary. The system is adjusted to match the standard pickup at the time of shipment.)
Turbo Tone Boost
The Stratocaster and Telecaster feature a clean boost function that simulates increasing the winding count of a single-coil pickup when the volume knob is pushed. This allows for instant switching from the usual delicate sound to a thick, powerful tone, accommodating a wide range of sound shaping from clean to overdrive. The Jazz Bass, on the other hand, activates the bass and treble equalizers by pushing the tone knob, and the stack knobs allow for independent boosting of each frequency band. (The SILENCOIL System is always active. If you don’t get any output even with Turbo Tone or the equalizer turned on, the 9V battery may be depleted; please replace it with a new one.)
